Google Glass 2013

I’m lead of the interaction research team for Google Glass and have been on the design team since the early days, joining right around the time team members started making custom hardware. My focus has been to develop uses that distinguish Glass from other mobile devices. I helped develop new experiences which are uniquely enabled by the form factor, such as hands-free control, e.g. eye gaze interactivity such as Wink to Photo and notification glance. Other focuses include entertainment (music and earbuds), novel input methods (eye gestures, head movement, voice and more), and Mini Games. I currently lead Glass’ advanced development efforts as lead of Interaction Research, where we do design strategy, technology development, and system prototyping.
